Etica no Taro - Seven of Swords

Etica no Taro - Devil

On vacation

A main subject we discussed was the tarot reader’s responsibility to read the cards and pass on the information. Everyone feels both a bit fascinated and spooked out when meeting a clairvoyant who can just look at you and start talking about your life, perfectly describe a “man /woman” you love or warn you that someone in the family is going to die.

I miss my blog… my virtual absence will be properly compensated – I promise. I was not on vacation, but at the moment I’m traveling and I had the opportunity to see my old tarot classmates.

Whenever we see each other, we have long conversations about the consultations, reading techniques and eventual experiences when interpreting the spreads. A main subject we discussed was the tarot reader’s responsibility to read the cards and pass on the information.vidente

Everyone feels both a bit fascinated and spooked out when meeting a clairvoyant who can just look at you and start talking about your life, perfectly describe a “man /woman” you love or warn you that someone in the family is going to die. Card and tarot readers may also tell you bad things that have not yet happened, influencing the person’s life negatively.

I have recently talked to some people who, unfortunately, have gone through such incidences. A middle-aged woman told me that about thirty years ago, a fortuneteller said that she had a spell cast on her to make her whole life go south. She confessed that she still thinks about it to this day.crystal-ball- tarot

Another acquaintance told me a terrible story. She went to a tarot consultation in which the reader said that she was in a bad relationship and saw that she was going to break up with her boyfriend. Then her boyfriend also consulted with the same person, who made that same prediction for him.

In short: this “prophecy” undermined their relationship. It got weakened and they ended up splitting. However, here’s a detail: they loved each other, they got along very well and suffered a lot from all of this. And in the end, what the reader predicted really happened, but to other relationships this woman had throughout her life. Now, some twenty years later, this couple still like each other but are still estranged. This consultation left them with a very bitter taste in their mouths.

I’m not saying that every time you have a consultation it will always mean good news. But there are ways to pass along the information. A seer, tarot reader, fortuneteller, astrologer and the like must help the person to make better decisions according to the trends and opportunities that the spread presents. That is the responsibility I am referring to. Or, if the spread shows a difficult period, at least prepare and calm down the client, because everything goes by.sharman-caselli-02727 10 of cups

Life goes by in periods, just like the seasons of the year. Perhaps till your early twenties, it was just a beautiful summer (mild, hopefully!). But once you reach forty, fifty or sixty years old it’s uncommon not having been through any winter. Almost everyone has had some struggle.

But if you’ve NEVER been through any of that, congratulations! You are one of the few who came to Earth on vacation.

Enjoy!

Corporate Paranoia

Throw the first stone the one who never got a little paranoid at work when his company undergoes changes, profits are low due to the economy and you need this job to pay your bills.
… then you come for a tarot consultation

Well … then you come for a tarot consultation to know how to deal with your job’s instability. It may seem real- you often think your head is at stake when it’s not. You may turn your worst fears into reality just because you believe you’ll loose your job when that will not even happen. Let’s look at some situations that may be similar to your reality at the moment:

1st Scenario: You think your boss hates you. You think you’re going to lose your job. You work with sales. But the tarot assures you that you and your boss will be good friends, and there’s still plenty to celebrate. Why? Because he has nothing personal against you. He likes money. And when you make good deals, you become the office top employee. Sounds obvious, but it’s not, especially when you can’t close anything. The tarot advises you: don’t worry with your boss, don’t get depressed. Spend your time planting seeds because you WILL harvest your sales. The client doubts the tarot because he is so desperate. The tarot still shows he’ll be celebrating with his boss in the future. Yes, it happened to one of my clients!rods03

2nd Scenario: Your work at a big company, your leadership has changed and it’s a mess now. Everyday you go to work you have nothing to do, no projects at all. You think about sending your resume to other companies but your company is a market leader and it gives you some stability. The tarot tells you: don’t be upset with the moment, don’t rush into anything: wait and go with the flow. You will not lose your job because your boss doesn’t even know what to do, he’s still adapting. Work will be boring, there will be instability, but you’ll keep your job. Be patient: wait for this period to end. This tarot client still has his job but it’s still a mess. After six months, the client’s life trends have changed and the tarot advises that the consultant should start searching for other jobs … INSIDE the company. Interesting, right?

3rd Scenario: Both your boss and your company are in trouble. You think it has always been this way. You believe this situation won’t affect you. But the tarot warns you: this company is going to get into a lot of trouble and you’re probably going to lose that job overnight. So, save money, get organized, and start thinking about what you want to do: send your resume to other companies, start your own business, retire?

There are tons of stories about people who ask the tarot questions related to work, but each case is unique. The important thing to remember is:

07_chariot1) Don’t rush into things.

2) Don’t expect the worst… the old saying “every cloud has a silver lining” may be acting in your favor.

3) If a cloud of doubts is affecting your common sense, don’t wait too long: consult with a tarot reader + a mentor, psychic+ a coach, an astrologer + a headhunter or any other combination of heaven+ earth to help you get back to your senses, put your feet on the ground and your head in the right place. Then build your own strategy to attract opportunities.

It will work!

Trauma-free tarot

And it was during one of these encounters that I came across a dear health professional that asked me, “So you’re a tarot reader? My mother also reads tarot cards.”

Some people think that tarot readers check their cards all the time to know every single thing in life, even to replace the weather guy and ask if should/ should not take a coat when leaving home. Housewives_Tarot_8That’s because in these climate change days the weather report may not be enough… a little help from the cards can increase the forecast accuracy. It never hurts caring a jacket though, since air conditioning can freeze your bones too.

But back to the subject tarot and its futilities… Can you believe that a number of close friends ask me to check over the simplest things (because they’ve obviously had already done a complete Mandala reading), while I – and some other readers I know – hardly ever consult the tarot? The reason being is that it’s better to have a colleague read the cards for me and give me a decent prediction, than having me open my own tarot spread only to manipulate my own future according to what I want to happen.

There was a time when I was studying to get a public sector job (with the Brazilian Government- which is almost as hard as passing a Bar Exam) that I would constantly consult with the tarot: “Am I going to pass this exam and get the job?” The answer was always yes. If it was that easy to read it for myself, according to those answers, by now I could be advising the President! Does that mean that tarot cards are a waste of time? Of course not! It only means that when you are emotionally attached to the problem, you’d better ask another reader to answer your question. It’s like a surgeon who does not operate his own son, but asks another very good doctor to operate him.

And then you ask me: so you NEVER check anything with your cards? Yes, but rarely. And that’s where our story begins… Since my blog is still a 3-month-old baby, I go around doing some advertising with people who I know (and who I don’t too). And it was during one of these encounters that I came across a dear health professional that asked me, “So you’re a tarot reader? My mother also reads tarot cards.”

housewives-queen-of-wands“Oh, that’s so cool”, I replied, “you probably ask her everything, right?” She quickly answered: “No! And I’ve never had anyone read it or me. Can you believe that when I was a teenager, one day I arrived home late at night, only to see my mom waiting for me, very angry, holding her tarot deck?

Her mother was sitting at the kitchen table, waiting for her to arrive. When she stepped into the house, the mother was already shuffling the cards and, in a dry tone, demanded: “Sit here! Now! Pick three cards!” The poor girl sat down, drew the cards from the deck. The mother read the spread, looked at her with a very nasty face and finally said: “That’s all I wanted to know!” And spent days without talking to her!

housewives-03043

I asked her if she had really done something “wrong”. She replied, with a cheerful smile: “Of course!” Anyway, I thought she hated tarot cards, but she actually loved the idea of me reading for her.

More than a reading, I freed her from a tarot trauma!

E veio a resposta…

A coitada sentou, puxou três cartas do baralho.

Spell-land

The same way you confess to your therapist that you do things considered socially bizarre, you directly ask your tarot reader, almost as if asking the maître if they have fried calamari: “Could you please check if a magic spell has been cast on me?”

Yes, we’ve already talked about Lala Land, but now let’s visit a land where many believe in evil eye, curse, black magic, evil spirits, witchery, anyway … in spells. Do you know this place?

retrato_V0A4497

As you might expect, in Spell-land, it is taboo to speak directly about “You Know What because, as Harry Potter would say, just in speaking of the subject you may already attract it… However, the same way you confess to your therapist that you do things considered socially bizarre, you directly ask your tarot reader, almost as if asking the maître if they have fried calamari: “Could you please check if a magic spell has been cast on me?” What do you mean??

Example: “Last week I fell from the ladder when I was getting a book from the shelf (I swear this never happened to me before), I tripped twice on the street, I slipped on the wet floor and broke my little toe walking home! Why are these things happening to me?”. You can have a “spell diagnostic” in a tarot reading and the following can come up:

1) A magic spell has really been cast on you … this can happen because someone:

– wants to take revenge on some situation (and you had it coming);

– envies you (and you need to learn to protect yourself);

– wished some horrible fate upon you (and it may have nothing to do with anything you have done – this is just a miserable person);

– nothing- it’s you who attracted negative energies or an evil spirit (maybe because you are a medium and don’t know how to deal with it);

2) There is no magic spell at all, but this is karma;

3) There is no spell, this is not karma, but you have made wrong decisions in life and now you are paying for it in the material world.

But when the tarot confirms that there is really something strange going on, you’d better adopt a spiritual diet, that is: to clean your energy, to pray, to seek spiritual help or have someone remove the magic spell cast on you, etc.

Once you’re spell free, how about… becoming more spiritual? wishing good things for others and understanding that the Joneses’ happiness do not interfere with your own? thanking your Guardian Angels and God for all the good things you have in life?

The best way to shield yourself from evil is by…temperança

… Being honest – even when no one is looking and you have the chance to take some advantage.

… Doing good things and helping others on a daily basis – without expecting anything in return.

… Believing in a God of love and light and thinking positive – for you and for the world.

Finally, continue attending spiritual services, because in the present times, the problem is not anymore that co-worker who tries to sabotage your career, or that “frienemy” who wants to steal your boyfriend. The world is nervous. Spell-land can be anywhere.

But the Age of Aquarius has some news for you: instead of waiting for a “Savior”, each of us can do a little for ourselves and for who is within our reach. And if we multiply the good by 7.5 billion people, this “Savior” will come here, smile and finally be able to take a vacation. Spell-land became Nirvanaland.

Digital Journal

One day, a friend wrote on Facebook: “Only here, that a such a bad year seems to have been so spectacular!”.
As a tarot reader, it’s very interesting to see what a person posts compared to what they tell me during a consultation.

One day, a friend wrote on Facebook: “Only here, that a such a bad year seems to have been so spectacular!”.four of cups

When we get into any social media, we notice that many people look gorgeous and “happy ever after.” As a tarot reader, it is very interesting to see that, for example, the same person who is trying to get a divorce, posts a picture with her/his partner on their anniversary, toasting with champagne glasses.

Other people, in difficult times, show themselves at wonderful parties, as if life were always flowers – “La Dolce Vita.” Then they have a consultation with me and tell a very different story. On the other hand, a lot of people complain that social media is a center of envy, a door to bragging great travels, expensive restaurants and a jet-set life that doesn’t always correspond to reality.

But how about changing this perspective? Now your social media becomes a list of gratitude to yourself, and not a means of comparison with others. Now, your Facebook forces you to look at your best moments, your family, your partner, … making you rethink that life is really made of ups and downs.

ten of cupsBetter register the ups in an Instagram, so that when we’re down, we have beautiful trips, good friends and celebrations to remember and boost our spirits.

Better register a party on Facebook, so that you receive likes from friends that are far away, but still love you, even though they don’t have time to call.

Better give a virtual “Happy Birthday” to that person that you are not that close, but even so, just that short note already brings her/him a smile on such a special day.

From this new angle, if today you’re sad, look again at your own timeline and review your pictures. Lift your head up high, take a refreshing bath, put on some perfume, make yourself gorgeous, take another selfie … and post it!

… now on your own “Digital Gratitude Journal“.
